Neottia cordata (L.) Richardson[HC2]
heart-leaf twayblade

Publication: De Orchid. Eur. 37. 1817.

Origin: Native

selected vouchers: WTU

Notes: The FNA treatment by Magrath and Coleman (2002) notes the varietal taxonomy is controversial. They assign our material to var. nephrophylla. Their key separates the two proposed varieties on the basis of leaf shape, lip length, and flower color, while stating "the distinction is not sufficient to maintain the varieties."
